Digital expert-witness work
Status: in training (2026–2027). I’ll update this page as I go. First expert reports expected in 2027.
Digital expert-witness work (peritaje digital) is expert testimony on technical facts: reports with evidentiary value, oral defence in court and methodology with chain of custody. My professional path focuses on two niches with growing demand and freshly-enacted regulation:
1. Web accessibility as expert matter
- Law 11/2023 (transposition of the European Accessibility Act), enforceable since 28 June 2025.
- RD 1112/2018 for the public sector, with mandatory audits and accessibility declarations.
- 20+ WCAG projects since 2009 and specific training in accessible technologies: accessibility has been my subject for two decades.
2. Multimedia and AI content authenticity
- Metadata and provenance analysis (C2PA / Content Credentials).
- Manipulation and synthetic-content detection (images, video, audio).
- The EU AI Act (art. 50) requires deepfakes to be labelled from August 2026: content verification will be a permanent judicial need.
Training path
- 2026–2027 — Official Multimedia degree (UOC): final-year project + one pending subject.
- January–April 2027 — Digital Forensics micro-credential (UNED), with an expert report defended before a panel.
- 2027 — IAAP-WAS certification (Web Accessibility Specialist) and registration on expert-witness lists.
If you’re a law firm or a company needing a technical accessibility report with sound criteria (even before any court route), let’s talk.
